Did the Administration Ever Deliberate About the Iraq War?

James Fallows says 'no,' and asks whether anyone can finde evidence to the contrary.

I don't know. Did they deliberate badly, or simply not deliberate? It'd be interesting to know, but we may be splitting hairs.

First they fire anyone who might disagree with them, and then they deliberate.

Did you read Richard Clarke? On Sept. 12, 2001, Rummy said that now we could get Saddam, and Duhbya agreed. No, they didn't even wait for evidence, much less deliberate. The PNAC had already deliberated for them, though 'fantasized' would be a more accurate verb.
