The horrifying thing is that the moonbats are still committed to this insanity...and what's left of the Democrat center is still in their thrall.

The radical left is substantially detached from reality...so they can probably keep this up indefinitely. Until they start reliably losing elections because of this--electoral power being a feature of reality they seem predictably more in tune with--they'll probably stick with it.
