Everybody and every faction does such stuff fairly often. But it's the backbone of the extreme PC left: there are no rules of reason that constrain our inquiries. Leftist politics fixes the conclusions, and then free-associative, quasi-literary/poetic flailing about provides tenuous, rhetorical pseudo-support that they think they need to get the conclusion accepted.
