Japanese Internment: Another 80th Anniversary to Remember
I'd rather not...but here we are.
Just one of many seemingly suboptimal--one might even say panicky--decisions we made during the war.
But one might point out that we didn't know what the Japanese population in America would do--how they would break if forced to choose between the U.S. and Japan.
It's also easy to second-guess people making life-and-death decisions under uncertainty...
But excuse-making goes only so far, I guess.
