If You Come at the King...
...well, you see where I'm going with this...
I don't like this crap.
But the first thing I didn't like about it was the Democrats' Show me the man and I'll show you the crime strategy. A series of laughably absurd lawsuits aimed at destroying their main political enemy...and the once and future POTUS, at that. They hijacked the apparatus of government and used it as a political catspaw. Now their getting a taste of their own medicine, and part of me is happy about it. (How many metaphors can we mix??)
It's the Dems' strategy of digging up crazy women to make bogus sexual assault charges against their enemies that infuriates me most. As much as I wish they'd regain their senses so that we had two sane political parties (or two plausibly sane ones, anyway), this stuff makes me hope they are destroyed--and makes me think they deserve it. An accusation of sexual assault is the reputational nuclear option. Almost no matter how absurd, it is a blight on one's reputation that never quite goes away.
And don't forget: they haven't used it only against Trump.
They used it against Kavanaugh, too.
And it's the same general strategy they've used against us all over the past decade: disagree with them, and you are evil--racist, sexist, x-phobic (for ever-expanding values of 'x')...
The Democrats do deserve to be destroyed...but that might (I guess...) leave the country worse off. God knows what an unbridled GOP might do...
Not that that's really what we probably ought to be worrying about now...
Anyway:
Incredible to me that left-wingers apparently thought they could spend a decade fomenting various conspiracies to try to throw Trump in jai but that he’d just forget about it if he regained power.
