Two things:
[1] A decrease in reservations doesn't necessary mean a drop in business--we'd have to know about walk-in numbers, too. But I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt on this one.
[2] The article itself slips in--and elides over--the fact that reservations are down elsewhere as well...including Delaware...not exactly the "DC area"... For all I know, reservations always spike in the summer and fall off as we approach Labor Day.
Of course the point is that Orange Man bad...and the left will find something to complain about no matter what. Kinda reminds me of Jesse Jackson's classic line: If I walked on water, the headlines would be "Jesse can't swim"...
[UPDATE: I failed to mention the main point here: even if true, diminished restaurant business is a minor and undoubtedly temporary consequence of Trump's crackdown. It's laughable that anyone would think this was a significant effect, and dumb that it's judged significant enough to get its own story...unless the concern is that this is the tip of some iceberg or other...but probably it's just dumb.]
