Strange that there was no multimedia extravaganza marking the 1-year anniversary of this... 

In fact, of course, there was outrage that these rioters were pushed out of Lafayette Square the next day--and that pepper balls were used. You may recall that there was several weeks of media hysteria because USCP used correct terminology and did not initially refer to pepper balls as 'tear gas.' Because the media is ignorant and biased, that became a scandal--despite the fact that USCP immediately said: Oh, yeah, we should have realized that you would think that pepper balls were tear gas; if we'd have thought of that, we'd have used the incorrect terminology so that you wouldn't get confused...

Imagine what would have happened if the Secret Service or USCP had shot an unarmed protestor in St. John's...or if three of the rioters had died of natural causes...

Again, it's not that the Capitol riot wasn't a godawful national embarrassment. The point is, rather, the radically inconsistent treatment of the left and the right.
