"The Boys"

JQ and I were watching and kinda liking this show. Not enough to seriously binge, but sometimes enough to watch more than one episode at a time. I ignored the anti-Trump stuff in it because, hey, I'm not crazy. If you're going to watch crap on tv, you're going to have to put up with progressive propaganda. But the progressive propaganda became just unbearable. The main antagonist is "Homelander"--blond, flag-clad...and...need I say?...evil. Then the immigration shit...because any concerns about massive waves of illegal immigration is fascistic, right? Then the character called "Stormfront"...then the AOC character...then it turns out that Stormfront is....spoiler alert...an actual, literal, 1940s-era Nazi!...who is also known as Patriot or something similar. And, unsurprisingly, the AOC character seemed to be turning into a hero... Anyway. We stopped watching two or three episodes before the end of the second season. It's such ham-fisted bullshit. It sucks because the other half of the characters--the good guys--are reasonably interesting. We're normally not like Well I never! and all that. But, as JQ pointed, out, they know what you're watching. One household shitcanning the show will make exactly no difference, of course. But better to light one candle than to curse the damn darkness. And, aside from the practical point: we're just sick of brainless progressive propaganda that's shoved into...well, not everything...but I want to say "everything"...
