Will Universities Survive If Democrats Win?

Yes?
Trump fought the totalitarian left, giving us e.g. Betsy DeVos at Ed and the executive order on free speech. Losing DeVos would be a disaster. She's been a fantastic. And God knows who'd replace her. Maybe Warren will even prevail upon Joe to do the "trans" child vetting stunt. Who knows?
Biden/Harris might not enthusiastically support the campus totalitarians, but there's exactly no chance at all they'll oppose them like Trump has.
Perhaps more important in my little fragment of academia are state races over the next couple of years. My university is flat-out losing its mind. I've met with our delegate, and he's extremely interested and sympathetic. But he's made it clear that there's really almost nothing they can do so long as Democrats control the governorship and both houses of the General Assembly. Sadly, the OD really does seem to have a grim, blue future. And one I worked hard to bring about for years. Because I was an idiot. Or, rather: I completely failed to foresee both the (re-) rise of the insane left and its takeover of the Dems. I still plead excusable error on that score...
At any rate. Universities are in dire straights; the current left isn't just bad for them, its fundamental guiding ideas are inconsistent with their telos. Every day the ideas of the illiberal left encroach a little more: stifle discussion, brainwash students, coerce departments into subpar hires, punish dissenters, enforce conformity to the bizarre orthodoxy of the cult.
Well, at least this stuff has made me realize how docile and tractable most academicians are...so that's a little bit of truth revealed by all this psychopathy...
