BLM's *Racist Police Shooting* Thesis Is (a) Based On Anecdotes...But (b) The Anecdotes Are Also Radically Distorted

I generally emphasize that the statistical evidence refutes BLM's thesis that police kill black men because they are black in a more-or-less indiscriminate way. In fact, black men and white men are both killed roughly in proportion to the background violent crime rate for their respective groups, and almost always because they are attacking the police and/or resisting arrest.

BLM's actual evidence is anecdotal. Their flagship cases, in temporal order, are Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, and, now, George Floyd.

The media (and FL prosecutors) radically distorted the Martin case. They lied about George Zimmerman, lied about Trayvon Martin, lied about the encounter...and even lied about the identity of the main witness, Diamond Eugene / Rachel Jeantal (see The Trayvon Hoax documentary, below). Zimmerman was misrepresented as a cop-wannabe / vigilante who went looking for trouble--and then basically executed Martin. Martin was misrepresented as an innocent child. In fact, he was a 6' tall 17-year-old thug who fought street fights, stole property from his classmates, dealt drugs, and wanted to deal guns. Zimmerman did not follow him; Martin jumped the much-smaller Zimmerman, sucker punched him, and then began beating him ("MMA-style") and beating Zimmerman's head into the pavement. Zimmerman only drew his gun and shot when he became convinced that Martin was trying to take his gun to shoot him.

You probably don't know any of the relevant details of the case unless you've read Joel Gilbert's book The Trayvon Hoax. Or you could watch this:

So: even if we were to be so irrational as to rely on these anecdotes in order to prove BLM's case, we'd need to get the details right. And, again: the Martin case is almost nothing at all like it's been portrayed.

Of course the same can be said of the Michael Brown case--in which progressive and BLM propaganda has been so successful that even many Democratic candidates are still spouting the lies. In fact, of course, Brown was a criminal who had just committed strong-arm robbery, and who tried to take away a policeman's gun. "Hands up, don't shoot" was just another lie.

Now, of course, we're beginning to see that the George Floyd case has also been distorted, despite the shocking video we first saw.

The BLM "revolution" is based on just about the shakiest and most corrupt epistemic basis one can imagine.
