Mother Jones: 'Riot' Is...Guess. C'mon. Guess. You Know What It Is, Bigot...

The word 'riot' is...well, you know.

It's actually a rebellion!

Because, you see, looting t.v.s from the Target is exactly like the Boston Tea Party.

The left used to prefer 'uprising' for such riots. But terminological fashions change pretty quickly among the jabberatti, as we know.

Though I still say: given the progressive left's construction and maintenance of the Open Season myth, even rational people might conclude that extreme reactions are warranted. I don't see any way to combat this, nor to convince the rioters that they're in the wrong, without fighting the Open Season myth with facts. Though, of course, opposing leftist dogma with facts is itself oppressive...so we'll have to fight that battle, too. Which we should do anyway. This is a battle for the heart and soul--and mind--of America. I don't see how it can be won without winning the argument that truth trumps dogma.

Of course the rioters who just want some t.v.s, and/or just want to do violence to people, and/or just want to watch the world burn can't be reasoned with. So I'm not talking about them.
