Judiciary Committee Sends Kavanaugh Nomination To The Full Senate

Well...I'm not exactly happy about this.
But I also don't think the allegations against Kavanaugh are even remotely weighty / credible enough to derail his nomination.
So I don't know what my problem is.

So I think there is a legitimate concern here: that the nomination of Kavanaugh has been so toxic that going forward will be societally detrimental. The problem is that toxicity was created mendaciously by the Democrats, who knew quite well how ungrounded the allegations were. To allow it to succeed will basically blow the floor out from under all political norms; it effectively says that slanderous allegations (and while Ford's might not qualify, certainly Avenatti's counts) can be supported so long as they are politically convenient and play well on TV. The Dems need to eat this; they crossed the Rubicon, but can still turn back.

That he is a glib liar, independent of any accusations of sexual harassment? This guy drank a lot when he was younger and has the gin blossoms to prove it. But he came up with all kinds of laughable explanations for things like "Ralph Week at the Beach."
