As you may recall, democracy is the worst form of government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time...
Also, kids are stupid.

The only example of a 'dumped moderate they actually give is Crowley, the NY machine politician beaten by Ocasio-cortez in the Bronx. Yes, she is further left. But she also hasn't been proven corrupt, giving cronies all sorts of contracts via his position as local party chair.
