He took up that cause a long time ago. Good of you to notice, though. The "both sides were violent" was intentionally misleading: the first day, the fighting was sporadic and disorganized. The second day, the right wingers made an *organized* attack on counter-protestors--more like barroom brawls. And, of course, one of them committed a murder--and others gave a black man a really shocking beating. The levels of violence on the two sides was just not remotely comparable.
Great, I've been trying to find someone who was actually there--you should have spoken up earlier!
