Google Fires Author of PC / Diversity Essay

So...will people look back on this insanity some day in disbelief? Or is this lunacy really where we're headed? 

   If you really want to get depressed, watch the video. Not sure what the creepiest part is--there's the bizarre collaboration between interviewer and interviewee...there's the repeated assertion that the essay is "factually wrong"...there's the claim that it's important to root out such people before they produce racist and sexist AI...and there's a fleeting suggestion that maybe there ought to be laws against writing/thinking such things...y'know...now that we've evolved and all...

   Really, this is like watching a cult take over the country.
