he's at least vaguely sane, insofar as he interacted regularly on Facebook with other Nazi SOBs.
So, the guys FB page is still open, and apparently he was a "Bernie supporter" (read posts pre Jan 30th or so), but really he seems to have been an all out nihilist who liked pissing off people and being edgy. (Also, a lot of mentions of psychedelics, which might explain things...)
Predictably Portland is now using this as pretext to shut down free speech rallies.
