Currently, a white dude can say something perfectly innocent, and if there's even one person who is sufficiently dedicated to pretending to have misunderstood it, white dude can instantly be way far up shit creek. On the other hand, there are academicians and hacks (but I repeat myself) who explicitly, openly publish insulting, racist, sexist, discriminatory stuff about white dudes, advocate for oppressive measures against them, etc., and nobody on the left bats an eye. I mean...these douchecanoes are helpless to actually do much...but it's the insanely double double standard that's irritating.
