Eh, the results are varied, just like any other literary criticism. (I read a couple papers--they are mostly short and admirably accessible.) Some are silly--no Buffy didn't die to save 'progressive humanism,' whatever that is. But the existence of an academic fan site is no more unreasonable than the existence of any other fan site.
