Official National Parks Service Photographs Prove That Trump's Inauguration Crowd Much, Much, Much Smaller Than Obama's

But, hey...this business taught us something important about Trump.
Because if you'll lie like a goddamn rug when absolutely nothing important is at stake, and when you're sure to be caught...in fact when it's already obvious that you're lying...then you'll definitely lie when a lot is at stake and you might actually get away with it.
Trump is a liar. That's been well-established. He's also a bullshitter in Harry Frankfurt's sense: he doesn't much care about whether or not what he says is true or false. In fact, he seems to sort of slip and slide back and forth between lying and bullshitting.

Those are again the pictures from before the speech, and I just realized why: YOU CAN'T HAVE A HELICOPTER FLYING OVERHEAD DURING YOUR INAUGURATION, STUPE. THERE AREN'T ANY LATER ONES.

The overhead images used to compare Obama's and Trump's inauguration were taken roughly 45 minutes before the event. They were widely used in the press.

Trump complained about them being "fake news" because they did not show his whole crowd, and that somehow proved (a) that the press was dishonest and (b) that his crowd must therefore be as big as Obama's *second* inauguration. (Obama's first didn't even have that temporary white building in the background--the crowd covered the entire mall.)

I finally realized those images were used because *no later images exist*. The opening remarks were at 11:30 am, by which time the helicopters would have left the area. There is of course plenty of corroboration.
