Props to Brian Nosek for publishing work that doesn't support something he developed. It's really important for scientists to be willing to say, "Huh, based on this new evidence I was obviously wrong before. Let's get to work to learn more!"

New York has a great write up on this. I don't have a huge amount of time to bang my usual drum, but do notice the same patterns and institutional structures popping up here as in Embodied Cognition, Facilitated Communication, microaggressions, and PC more broadly. Psychic powers seem to be an indispensable part of any open ended, resource acquisitive apparatus.

Spare a little thought for all the nice, earnest 18 year olds who have just been slain by these results, from what amounts to a fancied up Sassy magazine quiz. Now many minority students that have been told they hate themselves?
