I remember a time when I would have considered it strange that he called his victims "innocent" multiple times and referred to the act of killing them as "murder" given that his theoretical basis for this behavior seems to be that black people are universally deserving of his actions in a way that would seem to preclude the possibility of their innocence...
But then I realized that an essential feature of immorality is irrationality, so I am no longer surprised by these inconsistencies.
Another possible lesson:
The search for conceptual contradictions doesn't get you very far.
