Tufts Campus Police To Investigate "Offensive" Halloween Costumes

In addition to everything else crazy about this, you'll note the now-standard PC tactic of pretending that someone doesn't approve of x = x is "offensive" = x is dangerous.

Worse even than the perversion of "safety" is the flagrant sock puppetry: "The letter was written by students, for students..." and "Tufts University does not have a 'Halloween Costume Policy'". Both these statements are, in substance, lies. The letter was signed by student 'leaders', but included quotation of statements of policy by a dean. The spokesperson goes on to congratulate the student leaders for being "proactive" in signing a letter that is whose essence is a quote of the administration. The phoneyness, fourth-grade level, I'm-not-touching-you you legalism, and the corporate shill mindset... It's pretty stomach turning actually.

Holy shit.

I did not pick up / know all that.

Jesus H. Christ.

You're absolutely right. This is breathtakingly bad. This is a fairly advanced form of totalitarian bullshit.
