The most telling part about Cheney's psyche, if you ask me:
The former vice president added that he was not concerned about the capture or interrogation of foreign nationals who were ultimately revealed to be innocent.
"I have no problem as long as we achieve our objective and our objective is to get the guys who did 9/11 and it is to avoid another attack against the United States," he said.
This is similar to his position in the documentary "The World According to Dick Cheney." His only purpose is self-preservation, and any means which help to reach that end are acceptable to him. His quote there is basically his entire political philosophy.
It's no wonder the ayn-rand-crazed neocons love him so much.
