Just following the lead of Chevron, someone sues you over massive environmental damage, use RICO to discredit them and destroy their life. See Chevron v. Donzinger

Full disclosure, I worked on the case on the side of Donzinger, but the point remains, civil RICO is a powerful weapon for the rich to use against those who they don't like.
