I for one am hoping that Phage technology works out, so we can fight infection with a treatment that itself evolves countermeasures to bacterial resistance.
I don't know enough about microbiology to be sure, but hopefully bacteria are different enough to eukaryotes that phages won't mutate the ability to infect humans.
