Jeremiah Wright at the National Press Club

I'm watching Jeremiah Wright at the National Press Club. First, he gave a really interesting talk. Then came the pretty much disastrous Q&A. I'm afraid what I'm watching is going to lose Obama lots and lots of votes.

I didn't watch it all (in fact, I tuned in for merely one question and saw Wright stumble and contradict himself within 5 seconds, so I quit watching) and I haven't read this all yet, but I wanted to let everyone know that you can get a transcript of the whole thing here:

The republicans are going to have a field day this election! It wasn't too long ago that I was confident that Obama had a fairly good shot at beating the republican nominee this November. But that confidence is diminished daily by stuff like this. So long as I make a conscious effort not to think about how good a president Obama may have been, I should be OK.

Sigh.

I'm afraid I'm having very similar thoughts, A.

But it ain't over 'til it's over. Or at least it ain't over 'til it at least *starts.*

It's amazing, though, how those guys always seem to have most of the advantages.
