Dylan Partner: MAGA's Bad Bunny Fumble

I don't know anything at all about Mr. Bunny, other than what I've just read here.

But the author seems right to me.

   One of the many ways the red team can blow it is to morph back into being the party of censorious puritans.

   The left has taken on that role for the last 10+ years, and they've finally paid a high price for it. If it goes down that road, the right will pay a similar price--and the right can't get away with it as easily as the left can. Currently the right is kind of cool for once--basically because the left is so embarrassingly ridiculous, sanctimonious, and uncool. But the right's grip on cool is always more tenuous than that of the left. For one thing, it's more serious. Which is seriously uncool.

   I'd add: and alienating young people--which is something censorious puritans tend to do--is particularly dumb, as many will tend to stay alienated their entire lives.

   Now, I'm not much of a football fan. And when I do watch, I tend to watch college ball. And the Superbowl in particular--and the halftime show really in particular--tend(s) to strike me as way over the top. So my judgment can't be relied on here. I guess I don't know who watches the Superbowl, because the performers of late have tended to strike me as having rather narrower appeal than I'd think the NFL would want. 

What, was Blue Oyster Cult not available? Or Billy Strings? MC 900' Jesus?
