What's clear:
- DC has a significant crime problem.
- Democrats (especially in their current iteration) make crime worse.
What's pretty clear:
- Trump's initiative here is a plausible response to the problem.
What's not clear, of course:
- Trump's response is more-or-less optimal--or at least the best available--or at least a very good--option.
The blue team hates Trump so hates everything he does. It's also extremely soft on crime and increasingly hostile to the very idea of law enforcement. They've never acknowledged that anything he's ever done is good, and they probably never will. So their wacky sophistical objections to Trump's DC initiative is predictable--and ignorable.
