Medical mission creep / the medicalization of everything + the left's ideological capture of universities (including med schools) gives them the influence they need to run one of their standard scams in this case: guns have effects on people's health --> guns are a public health problem --> doctors and public health officials are the experts on such problems --> they say to ban guns --> the experts have spoken / follow the science!
