Come on, it's really not that bad. And I think that the prequels are actually underrated. Especially Revenge of the Sith. Ian McDiarmid and Ewan McGregor are great in those films.
I'm also a Star Wars fanboy, so maybe that has something to do with it.

I, too, am a fanboy--and I agree about Ewan McGregor (though I've not actually given McDiarmid's performance much thought, tbh).
