On the other hand, getting their precious Scalia mark 2 installed is a major factor tying congressional Republicans to Trump. With Goresuch confirmed, there is better chance of getting enough GOP defectors to vote for a select committee and, eventually, articles of impeachment.
All McConnell has to do is nuke the filibuster, then the only thing the dems can do is force the debate to go for 30 hours. Gorsuch will get confirmed, just don't make it easy on them. And I will believe the "GOP defectors" when I see it.
Persuasive, maybe, but still filibuster the hell out of it.
