He'll no doubt win at least a massive civil case against them, but they must be removed from law enforcement permanently and jailed. Whatever penalty would be leveled against private citizens who break into a house, assault the occupant, and kidnap him should be leveled against them, and there should be an additional penalty for misuse of the coercive power of the state.
