The Anti-White Bias in Academic Hiring is Pervasive--and Colin Wright is Going to Sue Cornell

Unfortunately, this is true: academia has been perpetrating race- and sex-based hiring preferences for decades. It's not a close call. I've seen it happen. Most academicians won't even admit it to themselves--and anyone who does admit it is in for a world of hurt.
